Reward For Every Good Deed

We all know that our main purpose in life is to worship Allah. This is clearly stated in the Qur’an:

“I have created the jinn and mankind only for My worship.” (Surah ath-Thariyat, verse 56.)

Allah is perfect, free from all needs. He does not need our worship. Rather, WE need to worship Him. It is only through worship and obedience that we may attain success in this life and the next. Let us not forget that this world will eventually come to an END. An end which will actually be the beginning of our eternal life.

So how do we make the most of our stay on earth?

In the Qur’an, Allah says,

“Say: ‘Surely my prayer, my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds.'” (Qur’an 6:162)

What lesson do we get from this? That prayer is not the only time we can worship Allah. In fact EVERY act can be turned into an act of worship.

But how?

There are two conditions.

1st- Whenever you’re doing something good keep your INTENTION purely for the pleasure of Allah. And not for show-off or gaining praises from people.

E.g. Helping your mother in the kitchen or your siblings with their homework. Do it for Allah and you’ll be rewarded.

2nd- The deed must be in accordance with the SUNNAH of the Prophet (sallaAllahu alaihi wa sallam).

E.g. Spreading salaam, reciting morning and evening adhkar, giving charity. Make sure to do it like the Prophet did and keep away from innovations. (bid’ah).
